Licensure

Sixty-four percent of the Wright Institute's graduates in the nine year period between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2008 have become licensed psychologists in the United States or Canada. Reasons for non-licensure include: living in countries with no licensing system; working as full-time faculty; working in a field or business where no license is needed; and taking time out to start a family. Our students tend to be older--the average age at time of graduation is 37. Ninety percent of those who graduated in the first four years of the nine-year period have become licensed; eighty-seven percent of those who graduated in the first five years of the nine-year period have become licensed.
