Dr. Michael Litter completed his pre and post-doctoral work at RAMS in San Francisco. As part of his internship he worked outpatient with adults, youth and families. He completed rotations at Psych Emergency Services at SF General hospital and he worked inpatient with triple diagnosed adults. Michael completed further post-doc training in child and adolescent psychotherapy through the year-long seminar at San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. He has maintained a full-time private practice since 2006. He works with children, adults and families from a relational psychodynamic perspective. His work also includes co-parenting consultation, divorce mediation and on-site school consultation. Since 2006 he has led the child and adolescent supervision group for interns and trainees at RAMS. For two years he also led a Balint-style process group for wellness center therapists working in SFUSD high schools. He has provided individual supervision and consultation to developing therapists and has trained four psych assistants over the years.
