Accreditation

The Wright Institute is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)1.

The Wright Institute's Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association's Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation2. In its most recent review, the American Psychological Association Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation awarded the Clinical program ten years of continued accreditation. Our next site visit will occur in 2027.

The Wright Institute's Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling Psychology program is approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)3 and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The Counseling program is designed to meet the requirements defined in the Business and Professions Code Section 4980.36 which covers the statutes and regulations relating to the practice of marriage and family therapy and 4999.33 covering professional clinical counseling. In its most recent review, WASC awarded the Counseling program eight years of continued accreditation. Our next accreditation visit will occur in 2027.
