Rula Razek Klee, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice and a core faculty member in the Wright Institute Counseling Program. In her private practice, Dr. Klee provides psychotherapy for children, teens, and adults who are experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, attachment and relationship difficulties, life stage transitions, trauma, grief, and parenting concerns. Dr. Klee completed her doctoral internship training at WestCoast Children’s Clinic in Oakland, where she developed a clinical focus in child and adolescent therapy, parent consultation, and culturally-informed trauma treatment. She obtained postdoctoral training at the Wright Institute Assessment Clinic, where she provided psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Klee additionally specializes in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults and collaborative psychological assessment. She has pursued post-licensure training in emotion-focused therapy, perinatal mental health, divorce and co-parenting consultation, and a wide range of child and adolescent therapy modalities, including behavioral and attachment-focused approaches.
At the Wright Institute, Dr. Klee teaches courses in lifespan development, psychological assessment, psychotherapy theories, child and adolescent treatment, and common therapeutic factors. She enjoys supporting students and trainees, and has served as a clinical supervisor at the Access Institute in San Francisco.
Prior to her career as a psychologist, Dr. Klee earned her master's degree in literary and cultural studies from Stanford University, and worked as a book editor and magazine writer.
