Nico Storrow, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adolescents, adults, couples and partners, polyamorous and kinky communities, and families in private practice, both online and in person. Their clinical interests include grief and loss, identity development, life transitions, empowerment, and exploring identity and power dynamics within relationships.

Their therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic, relational-cultural, DBT, and somatic modalities, including EMDR. In couples and relationship therapy, they draw from Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Developmental Model. They are particularly interested in how clinicians adapt and expand therapeutic theories to better serve communities that exist outside dominant cultural norms.

Before becoming a therapist, Nico worked in restorative justice facilitation and language access advocacy within schools, taught English Language Learners in community colleges, and developed and facilitated youth curricula on sexual health, HIV prevention, and “Know Your Rights.” They also organized community-building spaces for queer and trans teens in collaboration with a local LGBT center in Southern California. As a therapist they have worked in schools, clinics, and currently have their own private practice.
This year marks their fifth year teaching at the Wright Institute. They currently teach Common Therapeutic Factors, Professional Development Seminar, Couples and Intimate Partner Counseling, and Sexual and Gender Health and Development. In their spare time, Nico enjoys being in nature, growing plants, and spending time with their toddler, partner and community.
