Nico Storrow is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, working with adolescents, adults, couples and partners (in all relational forms), and families. They see clients online and in person. Nico has also worked in school settings and community clinics. Their clinical interests include grief and loss, identity development, trauma, anxiety, depression, empowerment, and exploring power dynamics within relationships.

Their therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic, relational-cultural, DBT, somatic, Rogerian, and EMDR. In relationship therapy, Professor Storrow draws from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). They are particularly interested in how therapists can adapt and expand clinical theories to better serve individuals and communities whose experiences exist outside dominant cultural norms and how to bring humor into clinical work in thoughtful ways.

Before becoming a therapist, Nico worked as a restorative justice facilitator, language access advocate, educator, and community organizer. Their work included supporting multilingual students and families, teaching English language learners, and developing and facilitating workshops and community spaces for queer and trans youth in Southern California. These experiences have deeply informed their clinical practice and values around community, equity, and advocacy within this field.

2026-2027 will be their sixth year teaching at the Wright Institute and their second year as part of core faculty. Nico teaches Common Therapeutic Factors, Counseling Theories and Techniques, Professional Development Seminar, Couples and Intimate Partner Counseling, and Sexual and Gender Health and Development.

Outside of work, Nico enjoys being in nature, gardening, meditation, swimming, activism, creative projects, and spending time with their toddler, partner, and community.
