Dr. Bharier’s career has been largely based in community mental health settings that focus on working with children, adolescents and families. This has allowed a deepening understanding of the multiple systems of care within which many youth and families are involved. Her doctoral internship was at The Help Group in Sherman Oaks, CA where she focused on working with youth in multiple settings including in-home, out-patient clinic, residential group home, and non-public school. With a passion for community mental health as well as psychological assessment, Dr. Bharier then chose to pursue a postdoctoral residency at Westcoast Children’s Clinic. It is there that she took to the therapeutic collaborative model of assessment to which she is strongly rooted today. Currently, Dr. Bharier is a clinical supervisor and assessment program manager at Alameda Family Services where she actively supports the training of psychologists as well as staff clinicians. Her passion for education and training psychologists has led Dr. Bharier to teach both core and elective courses at the Wright Institute. In addition to this work, Dr. Bharier maintains a small private practice through which she provides immigration evaluation, psychological assessment, and therapy to youth and adults.
