Dr. Sukie Magraw came to the Wright Institute in July of 2020 after spending 25 years in doctoral psychology education as a professor, program chair, and director of training. Her professional interests are in the teaching of diversity courses, the psychological effects of oppression and privilege, and gay and lesbian parenting. In addition to diversity courses, Dr. Magraw has taught third-year Case Conference, Clinical Interviewing Skills, Family Systems Theory & Therapy, Ethics & the Law, Assessment, Psychopathology, Psychodynamic Theory & Therapy, and Couples Therapy.

Dr. Magraw has been the chair of the Association of Family Therapists of Northern California, a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the GLBT Committee of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology, chair of the Bay Area Practicum Information Collaborative, and member of the Executive Committee of the California Psychology Internship Council. She has a small private practice in Berkeley.
