In addition to serving as a half-time institute faculty member of the Wright Institute, Dr. Ferragamo (he/him) is a clinical psychologist who specializes in providing individual psychotherapy and gender-affirming care assessments to adolescents and adults in the LGBTQ+ community. He also serves Worker’s Compensation recipients in California. Dr. Ferragamo earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Alliant International University, where he studied identity formation for non-binary individuals, as well as their experiences of psychotherapy. He received clinical training in several Bay Area agencies emphasizing psychodynamic and integrative approaches, including the YMCA Y-Team, the UCSF Alliance Health Project, and the Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Ferragamo attended UC Davis, where he earned his BS in psychology, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies.
