Prior to his arrival at the Wright Institute, Dr. Wann worked for 15 years as a student affairs professional at the University of California, as an academic counselor, advisor, and programs manager. He has been with the Wright Institute's Mentoring Program since 2012, providing clinical, academic, and personal support to doctoral students.

Dr. Wann's clinical experiences have included community mental health, primary care settings, school sites, forensic/custody settings, and colleges and universities. With a primary focus on narrative therapy and ideas, he has served as a collaborative clinical supervisor to students training at school and forensic settings. He co-teaches a narrative therapy elective, leads an Advanced Clinical Seminar, and has provided narrative consultation and training at several Bay Area practicums.
